New Delhi: It is reported that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Russia once again. He is expected to participate in the "Great Patriotic War" 80th anniversary parade scheduled to take place in Moscow. This information was revealed by the Russian news agency TASS. The anniversary event will be held on May 9 at the Red Square in Moscow, and Prime Minister Modi is likely to attend.

It is also reported that the Indian military will participate in the parade. However, the Ministry of External Affairs has not yet made an official statement regarding this. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov mentioned that leaders from various countries are being invited to the event. Last year, in October, Modi visited Russia to attend the 16th BRICS summit in Kazan, where he engaged in discussions with several heads of state, including Russian President Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

During his speech at the BRICS summit, Modi reiterated India’s support for diplomacy and dialogue, emphasizing opposition to war. He expressed concerns about various global issues such as the Russia-Ukraine war, unrest in West Asia, economic instability, climate change, and terrorism. Meanwhile, it has been three years since the Russia-Ukraine war began, and several countries, including the United States, have been working to establish peace between the two nations. In this context, Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Moscow is noteworthy.
