Woman has severe head injury after subway robbery

LOWER MANHATTAN, Manhattan -- A pistillate suffered a terrible caput wounded aft a subway robbery successful Lower Manhattan.

Police accidental the 58-year-old was with her 22-year-old lad astatine the Canal Street N bid presumption erstwhile a thief grabbed his backpack and knocked him down. When helium mislaid his balance, helium reached for his mother, causing her to tumble down the stairs with him.

The lad was not injured. The parent is undergoing encephalon surgery.

Police are inactive looking for the suspect.
