Aggregate Marks Requirement 

General Category: aggregate marks of 55% in the qualifying degree 

SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/PwD Category: 5% relaxation; aggregate marks of 50% also required 

 

Final Year Students: 

Candidates appearing in the final year of their postgraduate degree in 2025 are eligible to apply. However, they must provide proof of qualification within two years of the KSET exam date, failing which their eligibility will be canceled. 

  

Ph.D. Degree Holders: 

Candidates who obtained their Ph.D. by September 19, 1991, and have a Master's degree are eligible for a 5% relaxation in the minimum marks criteria, irrespective of category. 

  

2. Choice of Subject 

The subject selected by a candidate for KSET must correspond to the postgraduate degree course undertaken by them. KSET conducts exams for many subjects: English, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Commerce, etc. One cannot opt for any subject for the exam other than the ones covered in his postgraduate academic study.
